Sergio Ramos leaves Real Madrid to join PSG

To anybody who knows even a bit about football, Sergio Ramos is no stranger. He is the kind of player who dies on the pitch before he loses on the pitch. He had been a member of Real Madrid for 16 years and has been the captain of the side for 6 years. Under his leadership, Real Madrid became the first ever team to win 3 consecutive champions league titles. Sergio Ramos has done so much for the club; no football fan can ever forget the moment when he literally scored in the last minute in the Champions league final to take the match into extra time which Real Madrid ended up winning. Everyone knows he loves football, and more so he loves Real Madrid. No one could have imagined that Sergio Ramos will leave the club to play for another club in Europe as even Sergio Ramos had himself stated several times that he wanted to retire at Real Madrid. But in the recent fiasco that took place, Sergio Ramos was unable to renew his contract. Ramos said that a one-year contract was offered to him but he wanted a two-year contract. He said that he ultimately wanted to accept the one year offer but the club said that the offer no longer stood. The President of the club, Florentino Perez, said that Sergio Ramos told him in February to start planning without him and then ultimately, he was even offered a one-year contract but he wanted to sign it when the date had already expired. As it looks on the outside, Even after playing for the club for 16 years and winning everything that there is to be won, the relationship did not end on a good note. Time and time again Real Madrid have not treated their legends well, first Casillas, then Ronaldo and now Ramos. However, Ramos did not take out any spite on the clubs or the fans. In his farewell speech, he thanked the club, the fans and the President to give him this opportunity to play for Real Madrid. He also said that Real Madrid is his home and he will be back, sooner or later.

They want to win the champions league, and Sergio Ramos has shown that he is a true leader and always rises up to the occasion. They have the quality in their side, they just need that one little push to win the competition and Sergio Ramos might just give them that.
